Frequently Asked Questions

It's completely normal to be a bit nervous about getting your portraits taken by a professional photographers. Don't worry, I can assure we're going to relax and have fun and you're going to have some gorgeous photos from our session.

The photo shoot

What should I/we wear?

Solid colours are best as they distract less and enable the portrait to focus on your personality rather than your clothing. You are welcome to bring 1 or 2 changes of clothing, however most of my clients are happy with only 1 set of clothing. Families often enjoy coordinating clothing such as matching children outfits or wearing shades of the same colour. As long as you're comfortable, the portraits will turn out well.

What if it rains?

The best portraits are taken in natural light outdoors, in sunshine or cloud, so my top preference is always to shoot outside in a natural setting.  If the forecast is for heavy rain, I may get in touch to reschedule with you since my priority is always to provide you with the best portraits.

Where's the best place to have our photo shoot session?

I'll work with you to find an outdoor location that's convenient for both of us.  I've worked all over Kensington & Chelsea and have many ideas for gardens and parks that provide beautiful backdrops. I've travelled all over London for tourist shoots as well - there are lots of amazing spaces all over the city! If you have your own special place in mind, I'm flexible.

After the shoot

How many images will I receive?

Your package includes a set number of images to download free as part of your package.  However, we will shoot many more during our session (about 100-150 per hour), and those will be included in your digital personal album. You are welcome to purchase any additional images over the number included in your package.

When will I receive the images?

2-3 weeks after the shoot, you'll have a complete set of your digitally retouched images in a personal online album which you may view and share with family and friends.
